About Resin Models:
Although higher in price, resin models offer an extreme amount of detail and precision. The finish is near flawless in presentation, they are limited in production, they offer a ton of photo-etch details and some of the tiniest features are shown. Resin models are especially great when it comes to makes, models and aftermarket styles that we often do not see when it comes to our favorite cars. These are offered in every model car scale and great for the collector minded people that want something unique from every angle.
Model Desciption:
It will be a model that faithfully reproduces the "Porsche 911 (991.2) GT3 RS Weissach Package" equipped with the "Weissach package" on the flagship model "Porsche 911 (991.2) GT3 RS" set for the late model of the 991 generation.
As a 1/18 model of Porsche's factory-stock 911, this 2018 late 991 GT3 RS will be the second release following the 2014 991 early Carrera 4 GTS.
Since both cars are the same 991 type, we initially sought a design in the direction of "overwriting" the features and design of the interior and exterior of the GT3 RS to the prototype data of the Carrera 4 GTS, but when compared with the scan data of the actual GT3 RS, the compatibility is almost completely nonexistent except for the outer shape of the windows and headlights, and the cross-sectional shape of the doors is also different. In the end, we produced the prototype data with a completely new design.
There are many points that I would like you to pay attention to in this model, but the most important is "cleanliness". For example, it is more cost-advantageous to paint black resin parts such as duct trim and front lip spoiler separately as body-integrated molding, but they are separate parts because the "kiwa" lines of the body color part and the black part are overwhelmingly sharp.
The windows use injection molded parts that blend well with the curvature of the body line. In addition, the outer covers of the headlights and taillights are engraved with fine ribs on the inside, so they are also reproduced with injection molded parts due to the high reproducibility of details.
The GT3 RS has a spartan interior, but it is also all modeled using 3D scan data of the actual vehicle. You can enjoy high-resolution details such as the rigid roll cage, rounded seat shape, and design around the steering wheel both inside and outside.
The carbon parts, which are also a feature of the Weissach package, are reproduced by attaching large carbon decals.
Of course, coating is performed using a two-component uretan glia.
The magnesium wheel has been newly designed, and a new mold has been prepared and made into parts.
